My life in the last few weeks have dramatically altered FOREVER! Carli was born at 12:05pm on April 2. She immediately created laughter in my life when she stuck her tongue out, this precious angel knew automatically how to find food for herself in this world.
Everyday has been a new adventure especially since arriving in Rochelle. The first night we arrived here it was 3:30am on a Sunday. We were exhausted and all wanted rest. Carli continuously fussed and cried, which is not a normal thing for her. By the second night I concluded that she was afraid of the dark and needed a nightlight. We let her cry herself to sleep after all her needs were met since we did not want her to feel the bed we slept on was her new sleeping area. It took her one full night to adjust to sleeping in her crib. She is currently sleeping in the living room while Dan and I both indulge in computer activities.
I have babysat many children and a handful of infants. I feel that I honestly have been blessed with a calm, sweet baby. I always want to say I am blessed with a good baby but then I have to remind myself there are no bad babies.
So I feel bad but received payback immediately for this fault of mine. Carli peed on me this morning while she was lying in bed with me. I take full responsibilty for it being all my fault since I had not recognized her wet clothes as being pee earlier but had assumed that my breast milk had dripped on her again. POOR CARLI! She is a trooper though and did not cry during the night about her overly damp diaper... I learned my lesson -check the diaper throughout the night and change the wet ones.
Anyways there was my short update. Hopefully as I type out more blogs in the future that my writing abilities will become more polished.

I thought it would be more convient to write a list of different things that we are looking for- we aren't looking for brand new in most cases. Both Dan and I are finE with used either from your own family, freecycle, Craigslist.com, thrift stores. Washed/ cleaned would be preferred :)
We have-

Simple stroller (looks like the children's play one's)
car seat
crib
nursing cover
some baby clothes- newborn
We will need-
Bedding
pacifers
bottles
diapers/ wipes
Burp rags
clothing- onesies (different sizes), outfits, baby blessing outfit, socks, shirts, pants, dresses
baby cleaning supplies (baby nail clippers, alcohol, ect.)
tummy mat
bath tub
If you decide to use this registry... comment on what you bought, so others know. Thanks!

Airhead: Lesson Learned
Last night Dan and I munched down on Sandies and mini airheads- today I have felt the consequence of that decision. I have had a tummy ache, puked, and now just sort of back to feeling blah! I think I am going to make wiser decisions in the future :)
I am currently making homemade chicken noodle soup- without a recipe. I love chicken noodle soup when the weather is all stormy. Dan has been feeling pretty under the weather lately so maybe this could help his throat and make his tummy feel settled.

Flylady Magic
There has been immediate success in using flylady for only one day. I know that I am only suppose to do the "baby steps" before the daily routine but I have been living flylady for the past few years at my parents house and it is a natural way of living for me- I just need guidance.
Cleaning the sink has been somewhat difficult since the chemicals were making me feel uber sick. I am not in my bedroom avoiding that situation :) I did the hour cleaning and our living room is very happy looking. My parents gave dan and I a vacuum cleaner and so we returned the brand new one my sisters gave us, less than a week later the vacuum cleaner died. We bought one while in Chicago at a thrift store but accidentally left it behind when we headed out for Rexburg. So I try vacuuming but it does not work well- hmmm we need to go to the D.I. soon and find one that works.
Anyways my apartment is pretty clean excluding the bathroom needing to be sanitized and the office being messy.

Being Pregnant
As of last Friday I saw the doctor for the first time. I am three months pregnant and was able to see our baby as well as hear the heart beat. Dan was unable to attend the appointment due to having LSAT the next day and a last minute tutoring session- since he is the tutor he had to go. He was way bummed because he was not there to see the ultrasound, but we did not know they were going to do one on the first appointment. I think the doctor decided once I am in.
Being pregnant so far has not been extremely fun for me. I never regret being pregnant but I certainly am learning that I enjoy being not pregnant due to my body becoming overwhelmingly sick. I have not thrown up in over a week and luckily my body is allowing me to sit up and interact more often.
Tomorrow will be my first day starting flylady (flylady.com). My mom has been on the flylady program for over three years and I love being in a clean, sanitized area. Lately I have struggled to keep our two bedroom, one bath apartment clean- I find this an embarrassment since we do not have a lot of space but there is a lot of messy areas needing to be cleaned. Hopefully flylady can save our apartment and my sanity. I am happy Dan does not seem to notice for the most part.
Well Dan said he finished up his homework for the night and wants to relax watching a movie with me... so thanks for reading!

Marriage and personal thoughts
Dan is taking some classes that have really stimulated a lot of thought for the two of us about how devoted we are to really taking the time to meditate and study on the scriptures.
I have enjoyed the last four weeks of being married to my sweet boy. The first two weeks certainly were a changing period for both of us. I had never lived with an older boy other than my own father (or brother davis last fall). Living with someone
The change has been a wonderful experience. I look forward to our couple scripture study and prayer with one another. Being in our apartment just hanging out reading, studying, and playing games (Webkinz/ Killer Bunnies/Chess) is helping us create fond memories in our first few weeks together.
Now FHE is always a good laugh. We bought books at the D.I. that my parents have. There were six books we bought for a dollar each! What a steal!!! Anyways when we sing together Dan is always skipping words or going fast.
We have left facebook and I have never been more happy. I felt that facebook could literally allow Dan and I to live two seperate lives while in the same room! That scared me. Now when we are online we interact with one another and I personally feel a deeper connection playing games with him then sitting online looking at profile pictures on facebook.
Well there was a simple update from the Springer Clan in Rexburg!

Back to the Ice-Burg!
Well I am so stoked to be back! I missed the wonderful spirit of ricks which truly embodies this campus. I have been super duper busy planning how to arrange weekly/biweekly with 9 apartment managers for Student Living! Crazy beans. I love associating with these women who are only a year or two ahead of me. The experiences I am having right now in my life are great blessings for my future.
I have only been back in "freeze-burg" since Saturday evening and several different times I have received a witness of the place I am. The temple being so close is just another witness that BYU-Idaho is truly being a discipleship training center for all those who attend.
Tuesday! That is today! Yes, so pretty much today is the day I have my first date with DAN! WOW, I am so shocked out how much my life has changed in a month. December 6, 2008 is when Dan messaged me asking me "how my family was doing?" Then his follow up question was how Rufus my dog was. Pretty much ever since then we have become good friends. Dan served in the Eureka 2nd ward May '06- October '06. I was in my senior year when he left. A year later we would reconnect at the BYU-Idaho preference dance during the Fall. I went with my FHE Brother who served his mission in the Santa Rosa, California Mission but the closest he came to Eureka was serving part of his mission in Crescent City, CA. At the dance I was an Indian girl, my date was my cowboy. While dancing some guy bumped into me, yup that turned out to be Dan. I assumed he apologized and then when Brett (my date) and Dan saw one another they started hugging and saying things like "Hey Brother!"
My Jaw literally dropped open! I knew this guy!!! I got up the courage and said "do I know you?" He thought I looked familiar and than it clicked. He asked if I was from the Eureka 2nd ward. Indeed I was and the connection of a long lost friend was semi made. Throughout the dance we would run into Dan and his date who had dressed up as Salt and Pepper Shakers! "This is so weird you are dating a girl from my mission"- Now the joke is on him! lol :)
Dan is currently driving up from Provo/Salt Lake City right now and I have nothing productive to do... so I decided to write a blog! haha yup, I am happy right now.
Peace Out my friends!
